| OCEANSCAN'S X-TYPE SUCCESS STORY CONTINUES IN ASIA (26/11/2008) |
After successfully implementing and completing the first phase of an X-TYPE Harbour Surveillance Programme for a Chinese company in Dalian, China in 2007, Oceanscan Limited has recently signed a major contract for the second stage of the project and is also in talks for a possible third phase contract being awarded early in 2009. This follows on from the company’s success in South-East Asia in 2006.

| NEW T-TYPE 3-D ACOUSTIC TANK INSPECTION SYSTEM NOW AVAILABLE (14/10/2008) |
After 3 years of extensive research and development Oceanscan is delighted to introduce to you the new T-TYPE 3-D Acoustic Tank Inspection System. The T-TYPE has been designed to measure the volume and topology of sludge sediments in the bottom of crude oil storage tanks, which up to now have relied on costly, inaccurate and time consuming manual methods. more

Steven Evans, one of Oceanscan's Internal Sales Engineers, took part in the IAKSA Kickboxing competition on 25th May 2008. The event was held at the Sir Matt Busby Leisure Centre, Bellshill, Glasgow and was Steven's second competition since taking up Kickboxing in February 2008. more

| WINNING WEEKEND FOR OCEANSCAN RALLY TEAM (03/06/2008) |
The Jim Clark Rally weekend provides one of the toughest motorsport challenges in the UK calendar with 3 separate events running over the 2 days of competition. The British Championship Jim Clark International Rally runs on Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th while the 100 stage mile National Tarmac Championship event follows the International event on Saturday and the 65 stage mile Scottish Rally Championship Reivers event then follows the International on Sunday. The 3 events allow drivers a unique experience as they are based on local tarmac lanes around the Duns area which are closed off for the period of the rally. more

OCEANSCAN has recently added the Nortek Aquadopp to the pool of rental equipment. The Aquadopp is designed both for real time data collection and self-contained deployments. The instrument uses Doppler technology to achieve accurate and non-intrusive measurements and it comes standard with compass, tilt, pressure, and temperature sensors.
