The X-type underwater intruder detection system is an active sonar engineered to detect stealthy underwater intruder threats to ports, ships and other coastal industrial installations. 

The system uses solid state technology to generate electronically scanned acoustic beams capable of automatically detecting and tracking multiple underwater intruders simultaneously.

The electronic scanning ensures that even targets moving at speed can be tracked. Proprietary signal processing algorithms adapt the detection thresholds to the local environment as well as suppressing static targets.

The system can operate unattended with an audible alarm being generated when an intruder enters a restricted area. Tracks can be overlaid on a marine chart to allow rapid deployment of counter measures.

The system can be networked with multiple heads over standard network infrastructures as part of an integrated security solution.

The subsea head can be bracket mounted on a seawall or seabed mounted on a tripod. The lightweight construction means that a minimum of support is required for installation and operational maintenance.
